Dare Foods Limited, a leading Canadian manufacturer and distributor of quality biscuits, crackers, fine breads, confectionery products, and portable snacks is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual with a strong passion for food to join our Charlotte Manufacturing team.

Distribution Supervisor - Charlotte (Afternoon Shift)

The successful applicant for this opportunity is highly motivated results oriented individual. You will provide leadership to a team of dedicated associates in both distribution and our co-packing operation to meet and exceed our performance and customer service commitments through effective communication, coaching and development of team members.

Responsibilities: 
  • Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of the team.
  • Lead by example in supporting the organizations quality policies.
  • Determine daily labor requirements and organize resources needed to do the work effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinating the assembly of display ready materials (shippers, display ready pallets, club packs).
  • Ensuring quality and productivity standards (KPI’s) are met through development and execution of standard operating procedures including product traceability.
  • Facilitate and adapt to daily priorities.
  • Provide feedback to team members to support a continuous improvement culture.
  • Support internal and external partners (Customer Service, Production Planners, Carriers etc.) of the business to ensure the operational goals are being accomplished.
  • Actively address issues and work collaboratively to resolve conflict ensuring that documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Utilize WMS and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) to communicate schedules, define processes and communicate expectations.

  • Time management including both labor and resource management
  • Dock/space management and warehouse utilization.
  • Productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain inventory best in class KPI’s.

Your highly developed communication, organizational and problem-solving skills will be coupled with 2 - 5 years of logistics experience and a college diploma/university degree in logistics, materials management or a related field. Previous experience working with SAP and WMS systems would be considered assets.
