Assistant Brand Manager, US cracker portfolio

We are looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to join our marketing team and help deliver growth on our cracker portfolio that includes raincoast crisps, La Panzanella and Breton crackers.  This individual will work with an experienced and passionate team of marketers and agency partners to grow our business with first-class brand-building, innovation and integrated business planning.  This role is based in Tukwila, WA and the office is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (in-office 1-2 days per week).

 Job Overview:
As a developing marketer, you will lead the execution of specific elements of the marketing mix. You are developing a strong marketing technical skill set and can lead cross-functionally to assist in bringing new products, packaging and consumer programs to market in a meaningful way.

You are detail-oriented and an exceptional communicator. Your problem-solving skills paired with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team will allow you to lead your projects with success.

  • Product News – Lead packaging graphics image updates for our new, updated, or manage discontinued items across multiple platforms (Internal Digital Asset Manager, Syndigo, SmartLabel, Owned Website, Destini, etc.). Update product brochures and point of sale materials as needed. Assist in reviewing style guide updates. Own driving internal and external awareness of our PR activity (awards, feature articles). Update sell-in deck for sales team with new or updated graphics.
  • Advertising & Marketing Programs – Lead email marketing test-and-learn through MailChimp. Review and approve social media content from our agency quarterly. Trademark management. Lead and report on consumer-facing activations (Could include things like: Platterful, HelloFresh, Homemade cooking classes, Hometown Holidays, Food & Wine events, etc.)
  • Shopper Marketing—implement shopper marketing programs and/or in-store demo programs on select handful of retailers.  Work with strategic cross-promotion brand partners from complimentary categories.
  • Tradeshows – Help manage 3-4 tradeshows per year and attend 1-2 tradeshows with the marketing and sales team.
  • Data Analysis - Ad-hoc syndicated data analysis related to in market trends or data needs for innovation/renovation/discontinuation discussions.
  • Budget Management – Approve and code all invoices and track on our internal budget file. Conduct quarterly budget reconciliations and Vena system updates.


As an ABM, you’ll bring:

  • 1-3 years of assistant brand management experience, preferably at a CPG company
  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work, taking initiative to ask questions and drive tasks to completion on time.
  • Detail oriented mindset with the ability to keep track of several moving parts with ease.
  • A collaborative, seek to understand mindset while working with various departments and external agencies on a day to day basis.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities as business needs can shift.
  • Confident and clear communication style, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the deli or perimeter of grocery store preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience driving brand growth via digital/social media preferred
  • Experience leading tradeshow execution (booth management, shipping samples/materials, etc. is a plus)
  • Working knowledge or experience with syndicated point-of-sale data strongly preferred, not required
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or similar
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel
